A message to our valued Mac’s On the Pier customers
In an attempt to update to a “touchless” and PCI compliant payment system, we switched our credit card payment mechanism at Mac’s On the Pier in Wellfleet in mid-summer. Unfortunately this resulted in the accidental “double charging” on a small number of our credit card transactions. According to our credit card processor, this was due to a “glitch” in the system. We were unaware of this, as these double charges did not show up in our system.
If you have been double charged, we apologize and want you to know we are working diligently with the credit card company to reverse these charges. Working with the credit card company has been time consuming and very tedious. We appreciate your patience and you have our promise that we will credit each and every incident where a double charge occurred.
We can use your help. If this happened to you, please email email@example.com with the following information:
- Telephone number
- Last 4 digits of the credit card that was used
- Purchase date
- The exact amount of the double charge
- Please indicate if you have (a.) initiated a charge back or (b.) received a charge back from your credit card company
Again, we apologize for this inconvenience, but want to reassure you that we will reverse each and every charge as we go through them one by one.
